A friend gave me a scroll containing a very meaningful description of true friendship as a Christmas gift. It states a friend is who you can be real with. With a friend, you don't have to pretend you are nice and perfect. Honestly, I don't have any intention of being nice and perfect with anyone but I got the meaning. A friend doesn't mind your nastiness and imperfections. A friend adores them.
It also states a friend is who you can be naked with. I thought, it's true. I wouldn't mind being naked with any of my friends but I don't think they'll want to see me naked. I laughed a little when I got to that part because I imagined how they'll react with the "getting naked" part of our friendship. Growing up in Batangas, nudity isn't really customary nor tolerated
Little did I know, in just a few weeks, I will be naked with some friends... Jhaney and Iza. Up until then, I haven't been inside a real spa before. The school I attended don't have lockers nor shower rooms. Most of my friends don't even wear swim suits to the beach. We wear shirts and shorts.
I was a little shocked but I was up to the challenge. Old, young, skinny, curvy, foreign and local women were all ready to spend some time to pamper themselves. It took me just a few seconds to get over whatever conservative nerve I have left and let everything hang out. It was amazing. Letting others see my every flaw without giving a damn about what they think of me is refreshing. The best part of it was I get to do it with my De Lata Friends. We had a blast!
I can’t wait to go back. This time, I’ll go for the massage and their other services rather than the experience.
