Anger Management

Where I come from, people yell a lot. People raise voices and sound angry even if they are not. But very rarely do people pound things. I have seen a few of my relatives punch the wall or slam their fist on the desk. However, violence has always been our last resort. It’s either punch something, hit someone or explode. Nobody wants the last two. Most of the time punching a wall or a desk gets the point across. A punched wall or slammed desk is usually followed by silence, an apology and reconciliation. I have never seen an actual fist fight. Though I think I’ve been on one.

Long story short, a classmate asked if I want to spar. I said yes but before we could even start, the teacher came in so we went back to our seats. I won’t count that one because nobody got hurt. The year before that I kicked a guy in the nuts but it was just for fun and the guys gave me a very heartfelt don’t-ever-do-that-again-plead. They guilt me out of hitting someone in the nuts again. It was pointed out that the guy might even lose his ability to procreate. We were 10. My childhood was fun.
